Too many local people have contacted me about the state of our roads. Whether it's potholes, safety or resurfacing many of our local roads are in a terrible state, especially on the streets and lanes where we live.

This is why I have jointly signed the MP for Mansfield, Steve Yemm's letter calling for action.

This morning I listened to Diane Morgan when she spoke about misleading labels on meat and dairy products that often disguise animal cruelty.

This is because there are no laws requiring food labels to say how an animal was farmed (except for eggs from hens).

99% of those who responded to the Government's consultation on fairer food labelling back the introduction of mandatory method of production labelling.

This makes sense and Defra's own impact assessment found it would put ยฃ46m into UK farmers pockets every year, benefit our economy by ยฃ140m every decade and would give protections to 111 million farmed animals every year.
